On Thursday April 22 we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day – what a difference 40 years makes! When Grassroots was just starting out I remember organizing the 25th anniversary of Earth Day in the City of Toronto – we were a small group with a small budget that was able to accomplish big things.

In this workshop, hosted by Diane Cartwright you will learn why Darjeeling Tea is so prized by connoisseurs. You will taste a number of Darjeeling teas from different flushes and gardens – learn a little about history, agriculture, social and political context of the world-famous origin of the Champagne of Teas.

In this workshop, participants will taste single herbs as well as herbal blends. Information will be presented on scientifically studied properties of herbs, growing methods and contraindications.
