10 Green Cleaning Tips that won’t break the bank
All Purpose Cleaner
- ½ cup pure soap
- 1 gallon hot water
- ¼ cup lemon juice
Tub & Tile
Firm bristle brush with baking soda and all-purpose
cleaner. Clean grout with 3 parts baking soda and 1
part water.
Laundry Detergent
- 1 part Borax
- ¼ part Washing Soda
Floor Cleaner
- ½ cup Hydrogen Peroxide
- ¼ cup Vinegar
- ¼ cup Washing Soda
- 1 gallon warm water
Drain Cleaner
- ¼ cup Baking Soda
- ¼ cup Salt
- ½ cup Vinegar
Pour baking soda & salt down drain, add vinegar,
cover with stopper. Wait 15 minutes then flush with
boiling water.
Carpet Cleaner
Sprinkle baking soda, rub in, vacuum in 1 hour. For
tough stains try cold soda water or blot with vinegar
and soapy water.
Porcelain Stain Remover
Let it sit in Borax and Lemon juice paste for 1 hour
and scrub.
Disinfectant
- 1 tsp Borax
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- ¼ cup soap
- 2 cups hot water
Oven Cleaner
Apply a paste of baking soda & water, let sit
overnight, remove with soapy cloth.
Mirror / Window Cleaner
- ½ cup White Vinegar
- 1 gallon warm water
Fabric Softener
¼ cup vinegar in the final rinse cycle.
Dusting Spray
1 tsp olive oil + ½ cup vinegar – Apply with a soft cloth.
